By 10 PM, Rahul reached his drop-off point at Belagavi. Seeing Gayatri sound asleep, Rahul didn’t disturb her. In one hour, the drop-off was made, and Rahul was on the road again. He was lucky to find a small dhaba open and bought two biryani.
He proceeded to the next toll gate for a night halt about 40 km away from Belagavi to Hubli. It was 12:30 when Rahul reached the place for their night halt. There were just 8 trucks, but he felt it would be secure with a police patrol vehicle present.
